The 2 1/2 day clinic with South Africa judge/inspector
Raymond Read went very well with attendants from Western Canada,
France and Ecuador. The typing of the Dorper was the main topic.
Dorpers are type on 5 categories the best type being a 5 the
poorest a 1. The animals that typed high ( 5 & 4) are the ones
that are used to breed and keep the high standard in the Dorper
breed.

Looking for Great Dorper Lamb recipes:
We are always looking for great Dorper lamb
recipes. Cooking with a Dorper lamb carcass is generally a
little easier than most lamb as the meat is juicy and a pleasant
mild flavour, no tallow flavour to stick to the top of your
mouth.
Interesting note: A Dorper breeder hosted
a farm tour group from New Zealand and of course, promoted the
Dorper lamb meat by providing some wonderful BBQ Dorper Lamb
roast. Comments from some of the New Zealand visitors
Wonderful, Excellent, A taste of home and perhaps the most
interesting It smells so much better than our lamb at home.
Please forward your recipes.
